Knowing the significance of natural resource management, SEED is committed to energy conservation and promotion of renewable sources such as solar energy. With this objective in mind, we have initiated the installation of solar panels in many schools and solar street lights in various rural settings.
To ensure that the natural beauty of the environment is maintained, SEED has organized massive clean-up interventions of village ponds. Drainage and Waste management systems in our project villages have been streamlined. Simultaneously, villagers are encouraged to adopt environment-friendly practices.
Village communities are also motivated to take up rain water harvesting, in order to judiciously use water collected on rooftops. This rain water can then be used to meet the ever-increasing demand for water, augment ground water storage and prevent soil erosion.
