Why CSR matters to your business?

Why CSR matters to your business?

In the corporate sector, the role of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is as pivotal as some other business speculations or developmental arrangements for the benefaction of an organization. There are plenty of routes by which the organizations could utilize the CSR for their own advantages and advancement. In this competitive society, a substantial portion of the general population like to work for the organizations which are effective, both regarding their high turn-over rate and playing out the essential social responsibilities. Staying forward with the social responsibility exercises helps in alleviating the societal position of the individual organization and in this manner, it eventually pulls in the employees towards it.

As it’s a well-known fact, building a good image in the society requires arduous work. By fulfilling the necessary CSR initiatives, a company gains the required goodwill and popularity, without putting any hassled effort. Most of the companies have started utilizing the CSR initiatives for promoting their brand names in the far-fetched areas of the society. For example, organizations which produce cosmetic items promote their merchandise as being environment friendly, thereby complimenting their central business with the required social duty.

Corporate Social Responsibility

The staff of an organization can also develop their management and administrative abilities through well-planned corporate social responsibility program. This might be as basic as group building work outs, urging your representatives to initiate associations with individuals they would not usually meet (like underprivileged groups). It is in any case, vital that the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives must be devised mindfully for the business advancement of a company. If this practice is used properly, it will open a horde of new connections and openings. It will end up being a culture which you, your staff and the more extensive group really have confidence in.

Another benefit of doing CSR initiations in numerous thematic areas like environmental sustainability, livelihood development, women empowerment, etc. help in motivating the employees and the corporation towards being more responsible while tackling these present social distresses. It is also important to consider that just providing the agencies with the funds to initiate the CSR activities isn’t enough for a corporation. A wholesome development requires active involvement of both the fund-givers and the implementers.

Taking inspiration from this ideology, SEED CSR has been working arduously in various thematic areas of social development with the help of its partner corporations. It is India’s leading integrated CSR consulting, planning and implementing agency with an absolute authority in strategizing and implementing the Corporate Social Responsibility and Financial inclusion projects across India. It works as a 360 CSR advisor and implementation partner with its clients. It is spread across India’s 20 states with 14 regional offices and it has a staff of over 200 employees.

The CSR projects that SEED undertakes benefit both the society and its corporate partners in numerous ways. As it is mentioned above, it helps in the fulfillment of the necessary CSR objectives of their partner corporations, alleviate their social status and strives to achieve the required development within the various social segments. Altogether, we can summarize the role of CSR for your business in the way that it makes financial sense, adds meaning to your work and makes everyone feel good!

You can completely rely on a Good Corporate Social Responsibility Agency!

You can completely rely on a Good Corporate Social Responsibility Agency!

CSR is a broad area which still is in need to gain sufficient attention. It is beneficial for business and for society as well, but only if a CSR project is implemented in a planned way. Let’s make a difference through CSR for Women Empowerment

Supporting Swachh Bharat Abhiyan through CSR initiatives

Supporting Swachh Bharat Abhiyan through CSR initiatives

All of us have grown up by hearing instructions about keeping our surroundings clean.

Am I right?

Of course your answer must be yes, because beside our parents and teachers, even our school books also had lessons on cleanliness. But have you ever wondered why India needed Swachh Bharat Abhiyan even in this era?

One of the main reasons is that many of our under-privileged population are still un-educated and thousands of children are not getting even basic education. We still have not reached a level where garbage is not thrown in public places, where every single individual uses toilet, where entire population is getting pure drinking water. These situations make us think more about the kind of civilization we are living. It is a raising alarm for all of us to think and take necessary action about the same. More and more organizations are coming up to us with a view to initiate revolutionary CSR program that can change the current situation. Swachh Bharat Abhiyan has given many goals that include promoting education in India also. The reason why we are telling this is that education can change people’s mind from basic level. If we provide free education to disadvantaged kids, then automatically our future generation will understand better about importance of cleanliness.

Seed CSR in collaboration with many big corporate firms conduct effective CSR programs in support of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Under this we organize informative sessions in rural areas where they are informed about importance of using toilets, keeping surroundings clean and many more. We have also installed mobile toilets in rural areas to make them realize its necessity. For educating more children, Seed CSR’s team provides necessary stationaries like books, pencil, pen, notebooks, etc. for free in school of rural areas so that children can come without any hindrance. We also organize skill development classes to educate them about the industry need and give necessary trainings for grabbing jobs wherever they desire.

Join the league of companies that are already investing for CSR activities. Be it CSR for sanitation and hygiene, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, quality education, healthcare facility, etc. Seed CSR has a trained and dedicated team to handle CSR activities.

Birlasoft CSR Initiative with Solution to Stubble Burning

Birlasoft CSR Initiative with Solution to Stubble Burning

India’s overall socio-economic development is based on multiple factors which require active participation from various sectors, viz. Government, Private or Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). Our agricultural sector is one such area that requires high concentration for its development and improvement. Due to uneven seasonal conditions, declining soil and other natural conditions, it requires attention from time to time.

Birlasoft CSR Initiative

Paddy Burning or crop residual burning or stubble burning is one such hazardous agricultural activity that needs stoppage at the earliest opportunity. This practice is nothing but deliberately putting fire to the residue left after harvesting the wheat and other grains. This practice is mostly prevalent in the northern region of India, particularly in Punjab. Although, this practice is cheap and cleans the field completely for new sowing of crops, it has many harmful effects on the environment as well. For instance, it leads to a loss of nutrients, high pollution from smoke, it damages the electrical equipment and there is always the risk of fire spreading out of control.

To lessen the worries of our farmers, Birla Soft with Seed CSR and PAU one of leading CSR Implementation Partner, have initiated a Social Initiative called “Shodhan” in Agethi and bibipur village Patiala, Punjab.

2

This CSR Initiative has been started to introduce new techniques for wiping off the crop residues without leaving anything harmful behind to destroy the environment. Even as the state is pushing for “in-situ” management of paddy straw as an alternative to burning it, most farmers seem reluctant to give up their age-old practice in the absence of any government incentive.

To bring this behavioural change in the practise of residual management this social initiative is being started. With the very first interaction with the farmers , many farmers come forward to adapt to this new technique of crop residual management. The objective of this Shodhan Project is to to tackle the huge quantity of straw generated is to incorporate it back into the soil (in situ). Not only it improves the soil quality, but also reduces the use of chemical fertiliser. With the initial response, more than 100 farmers come forward to participate in this awareness session for the betterment of the Crop Residual Management

3

Birla Soft with Seed CSR is empanelled with Agricultural Board to provide with machines such as balers, choppers, rotavators, happy seeders, and rakes for the smart management for Crop Residual. With this initiative it will mark another magnificent step in improving the Agriculutral Development in India.

Cleanliness taking a reality through mass participation: Seed CSR

Cleanliness taking a reality through mass participation: Seed CSR

Describing the Swachh Bharat Mission — a mission initiated 3 year back by our prime Minister Narendra Modi has seen an extreme reprove – being a social movement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi underlined that just as Swaraj was achieved by satyagrahis, cleanliness would become a reality through “swachhagrahis” (those who work for cleanliness).
